Our Harmony Total Wellness identity (name, logo design and cloud theme) was mindfully conceived and thoughtfully developed over an extended period of time. The name came under consideration when the owner stumbled across a potential location for the business called “Harmony Crossing”. The word “Harmony” resonated because she had married an amazing musician and had been blessed with children that are also musically gifted. Harmony, a pleasing combination of elements as a whole, also represented exactly the type of vibe she wanted to create with her studio. In consideration of what symbolically might represent “harmony”, a friend suggested the “triquetra”, also known as the Celtic triangle or trinity knot. The triquetra is an ancient symbol comprised of three interlocked “vesica pices”, derived from the intersection of circles, often used to represent concepts in groups of three. i.e. “mind, body, spirit”; “life, death, rebirth”; “past, present, future”; “land, sea, sky”; “maiden, mother, crone”; “love, honor, protect”; “strength, flexibility, balance”. For Kay, it represents her Christian faith in the “Father, Son and Holy Spirit”, three persons as one God. Its three equal arcs represent equality, its continuous line expresses eternity and the interweaving represents indivisibility and unity.
Equally important was that the logo incorporate a yoga posture. One of the most difficult full expression yoga postures that exists is called “The Mountain” or “Parvatasana”. This posture happens to look very much like the triquetra.

For Kay, it represents the challenges we face in life or the mountains that we climb to achieve our dreams. This concept is well described in a popular pop culture song called The Climb.
I can almost see it
That dream I am dreaming
But there’s a voice inside my head saying
“You’ll never reach it”
Every step I’m taking
Every move I make
Feels lost with no direction
My faith is shaking but I gotta keep trying
Gotta keep my head held high
There’s always gonna be another mountain
I’m always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be a uphill battle
Sometimes I’m gonna have to lose
Ain’t about how fast I get there
Ain’t about what’s waiting on the other side
It’s the climb
The struggles I’m facing
The chances I’m taking
Sometimes might knock me down
But no, I’m not breaking
I may not know it
But these are the moments
that I’m gonna remember most, yeah
Just gotta keep going
And I, I got to be strong
Just keep pushing on
‘Cause there’s always gonna be another mountain
I’m always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be a uphill battle
Sometimes I’m gonna have to lose
Ain’t about how fast I get there
Ain’t about what’s waiting on the other side
It’s the climb, yeah!
There’s always gonna be another mountain
I’m always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be an uphill battle
Somebody’s gonna have to lose
Ain’t about how fast I get there
Ain’t about what’s waiting on the other side
It’s the climb, yeah!
Keep on moving, keep climbing
Keep the faith, baby
It’s all about, it’s all about the climb
Keep the faith, keep your faith, whoa

Finally, the cloud based theme for the website and studio was again faith based. Quite simply, the clouds represent Heaven and the promise of life ever after.
